Academy of Science

Today I visited the free day for the Academy of Science and it was very, very packed. I took many pictures of the skull exhibit and sketched for a short time. The proportions on the sketch are really off, but it was extremely relaxing and meditative, despite the chaotic loudness around me.

Robb Putnam Art Opening

My friend, Robb Putnam had his art opening at the newly-located Rena Bransten Gallery. Not only do I love the aesthetics of his work, but the concepts are strongly powerful and always make my mind spin with possibilities.

Figure Drawing Night

It was exciting to get back into the studio and draw. Although the session left me exhausted, I am pleased with a couple of the drawings. The model was Karen again.

Friends' Art Opening

It was so good to see Timothy tonight. I was also blown away by my friend Andy Diaz Hope's new work. I am always excited to visit Catherine Clark's Gallery because she is one of the few galleries in San Francisco with a strong critical eye.

YBCA Opening

I had an art opening tonight at YBCA and it was a pleasure to share the space with many talented artists.

This month's meeting was attended by me and my friend Airy. I didn't get much done, but this is an in-progress collage by Airy.

Birthday Card Made

I made a card for my Aunt Bonnie. This shows the progression, but I may have overdone the green shadowing. I also enclosed a small mixed media piece made from hand painted wallpaper that has been buried and retrieved.
